Several rides are unfortunately out of commission today at the Disneyland Resort. In addition to today’s closure, Alice in Wonderland will close again for a 2nd refurbishment in July.
Ride Closures
Here are the Disneyland rides currently unavailable starting today.
- Alice in Wonderland in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park
- Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park
- Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park
- The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure Park
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will be the first to reopen again on June 8. Alice in Wonderland and Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride will reopen next on June 16.
Peter Pan’s Flight will reopen on June 30. But, looking at Disneyland’s official website/app, you’ll notice a 2nd closing date for Alice in Wonderland.
Disneyland’s Alice in Wonderland
The popular attraction will close once again on July 5, with no reopening date listed as of yet. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite Fantasyland attractions!
Unique to Disneyland, it’s a magical excursion that became even more enchanting with the addition of digital elements in 2014. It debuted on June 14, 1958, about 3 years after Disneyland Park opened.
The music and visuals are charming, and there’s a sense of nostalgia onboard. One of the highlights is the outdoor portion, which offers spectacular views of the Park!
Disney invites you to, “Take a topsy-turvy trip into the nonsensical world of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland aboard an oversized caterpillar.” Locations you’ll encounter on the ride include the White Rabbit’s House, Tulgey Wood, and the Queen’s Garden.
You’ll also bump into The Mad Hatter, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, and The Cheshire Cat! If you’re keen on riding Disneyland’s Alice in Wonderland this summer, be advised that it’ll be closed June 5 through June 15, and again, on July 5.
