Plaza de la Familia & Día de los Muertos Returning to Disneyland for Halloween Time
We’ve got exciting, seasonal news from the Happiest Place on Earth, as Disneyland confirms some fan-favorite, fall offerings. Plaza de la Familia & Día de los Muertos will return for Halloween Time!
Halloween Time
Disneyland becomes even more magical in the fall, with one-of-a-kind offerings that immerse you in the season. I love this time of year at the Park!
With the smell of pumpkin spice in the air, and decor around every corner, the vibe is unparalleled. Disneyland released a bunch of exciting news today regarding Halloween Time!
The event begins on September 1, and there are some spooktacular things in store. Let’s take a look at two, beloved tributes returning to the Parks!
Plaza de la Familia
The Plaza de la Familia is located in one of my favorite sections of Disney California Adventure, Paradise Gardens. The experience honors the Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos.
Stunning marigold decor, upbeat entertainment, and fun crafts will entertain Guests from September 1 through November 2, 2023. In addition, Paradise Garden Grill will offer some delicious Mexican food, you won’t want to miss!
This area really comes to life during the event, with characters from Coco highlighted throughout the experience. One of my favorite elements this time of year is the music!
Make sure to catch “A Musical Celebration of Coco!” Performed several times throughout the day, it includes Folklórico dancers, Mariachi singers, and musicians!
If you love Disney characters, say hello to Miguel, who’ll be available for a meet and greet! The festivities aren’t excluded to Paradise Gardens…
Día de los Muertos
Head to Cars Land and you’ll find Ramone, who pays tribute to Día de los Muertos at his shop. His ofrenda honors his friend, Doc Hudson.
Over at Disneyland, you’ll notice Día de los Muertos on display in Frontierland. Look for the marigolds and traditional, colorful, punched paper (papel picado).
There is so much to enjoy when Halloween Time returns to the Happiest Place on Earth. Make sure to experience the Plaza de la Familia and Día de los Muertos if you’re visiting Disneyland this fall!
