A 6-year-old girl, named Ashley, excitedly dresses up as Tinker Bell for her trip to Magic Kingdom Park. Little does she know that on this day, she’ll be met with an interaction that will change her life forever.

Heather
Upon her family’s visit to the Jungle Cruise, Ashley was selected to be a Jr. Skipper by Cast Member, Heather. While I’ve never seen this happen on any of my Jungle Cruise excursions, it’s a special honor that occurs from time to time.

This seemingly small experience left a huge impression on Ashley. So much so, it led to a dream of following in Heather’s footsteps to be her own Jungle Cruise skipper someday!

Heather shares, “I try to be inspirational every day to everyone I meet. You never know how you can affect someone’s day or touch someone’s life.”

After their trip, Ashley and her family stayed in contact with Heather, meeting up with her on future visits to Magic Kingdom. This sparked a 20-year friendship, culminating in Heather assisting Ashley on a journey to fulfill her dream.
