Let’s Go Inside the Standard Rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. I LOVE Disney’s Pop Century Resort at Walt Disney World. This fun property celebrates the decades with larger-than-life details, is located on Disney’s Skyliner route, and also features rooms that have been recently updated.
Our roving Disney resort reporter Kayla popped over to Pop Century today to give us a look inside the rooms which offer plenty of magical details with a design that maximizes comfort and space!
The standard rooms at Pop Century were the first to benefit from Walt Disney World’s new value resort room style which includes a queen bed and table that converts into another queen bed.
When the Murphy bed is folded out, you get an adorable image of Pluto snoozing and dreaming of dog bones on the inside. This makes the fold-out beds super popular with little ones!
When folded up, the space is used as a sitting/dining area and frees up extra space to walk around the rooms.
Above is a closer look at the standard queen bed. Above is some fabulous Mickey Mouse artwork with built-in lamps.
All rooms at Pop Century Resort also have wooden laminate flooring.
There’s a large-screen television, dresser and as you can see plenty of outlet space.
Like all of the value resorts (with the exception of the Family Suites at Art of Animation) all of the rooms at Pop Century are motel style with a window and door leading to an outside balcony.
Each of the rooms at Pop Century also comes with a small coffee maker as well as a mini fridge.
The restrooms at Pop Century are divided into two areas. There’s sink/closet space.
Then there’s a separate water closet featuring a toilet and shower.
Having the closet space in the restroom is a nice touch and means an extra place to stow all of those souvenirs!
Also, note the ironing board.
There’s also added shelving in the sink area for toiletries.
The rooms also come well stocked with towels and H2O bath products.
There are doors separating the water closet from the rest of the bathroom as well as another sliding door separating the sink area from the bedroom.
Rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort typically start at $215 and can go upwards of $350 depending on the view and time of year.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog where we have more room tours coming your way in the days and weeks ahead.
