ICYMI: Halle Bailey Performed Song From Little Mermaid on American Idol
In case you missed it, Halle Bailey, who is starring as Ariel in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid surprised audiences of American Idol yesterday when she took to the stage to give us a rendition of the popular song from the film “Part of Your World.”
Halle performed the song at Disneyland in the middle of the night and took to Instagram to describe the experience saying, “Thank you @disneylittlemermaid & @americanidol for giving me the chance to do so on stage at Disneyland… singing vocals in freezing cold weather at 3am in the morning while the park is closed is no joke but we did it!”

Bailey’s performance was part of American Idol’s “Disney Night” and the actress was featured in a magical blue gown and appeared in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

This wasn’t the first time we’ve heard Bailey sing Ariel’s signature number. She can also be heard belting out the tune in Disney’s latest travel for The Little Mermaid which will be officially hitting theaters later this month (May 26th.)

In addition to Bailey, The Little Mermaid also stars Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Javier Barden and Triton, and Jacob Trembley as Flounder.
