Strawberry-Loving Moms Will Adore this New Walt Disney World Treat for Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day right around the corner, you may be busy thinking up fun outings to enjoy as a family, complete with sweet treats to spoil Mom with.
Well, one of my personal favorite Walt Disney World spots I’d love to visit with my mum is over at the Grand Floridian. Beautiful, bright, friendly, and fancy, this resort is definitely a go-to Mother’s Day spot on our watches, especially while Gasparilla Island Grill is serving up some adorably sweet and sentimental treats for the season!
Now, I hope Mom likes strawberries, as there’s a simply delectable new dessert on the menu here that we simply had to share with you today. It’s this cute beauty – the Strawberry Shortcake Bar!
Our MickeyBlogger Melissa ordered this to try for us to report on today, so let’s take a look and see what she thought of the treat.
According to the menu, this dessert consists of a strawberry cake pop, smothered in thick white chocolate. Then, the whole bar dessert was sprinkled with crispy and colorful strawberry and rice croquant. Yummy!
Before we dig in, it has to be said that this treat sure is packaged prettily, tied with a pink ribbon that compliments the strawberry colors perfectly.
Especially photographed next to the lush florals of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, this is certainly a scenic snack to enjoy!
We asked Melissa what she thought of this treat, and she happily had nothing but positives to share about the bar. She confirmed the cake pop had the most beautifully moist consistency, with the croquant tasting like strawberry-flavored crispy rice pieces.
Speaking of the strawberry flavor, Melissa also let us know that this was rich and fresh, unlike the artificial sort of flavors some of us fear when purchasing sweet treats. This was delicious and jammy, and perfectly complimented by the white chocolate layer coating the cake. Then, the sweetness was at the perfect level, with the strawberry flavor shining through the brightest here.
All in all, this is definitely a treat we’d recommend for strawberry lovers!
As I mentioned previously, this treat has arrived at Gasparilla Island Grill for the Mother’s Day period. There are many different delicious food offerings due to feature on menus all across Walt Disney World in celebration of this beautiful occasion, and this strawberry bar is just one of a whole range of sweet treats in the line-up.
