8 Details About Disney Cruise Line’s 25th Anniversary
Disney has been celebrating a lot of anniversaries lately, and the next one up is Disney Cruise Line’s “Silver Anniversary at Sea!”

Disney Cruise Line is celebrating 25 years of cruises in a big way, with new character costumes, food and drinks, decor, entertainment, and more. Let’s go over everything here!
Character Costumes
The signature color of this celebration is called “shimmering seas,” and each character’s costume features multi-toned fabric and designs that resemble the swirls of ocean waves.
Every costume still has nautical elements we know and love from Disney Cruise looks, but the shimmering shade of blue is a nice addition!

“Shimmering Seas” Song
The brand new signature song Disney has created for the celebration is called “Shimmering Seas,” and it pays tribute to the past, present, and future of Disney Cruise Line. Listen to the song in the video below!
Eats & Drinks
New eats and drinks are part of the Silver Anniversary at Sea, including a 25th cupcake, a Mickey chocolate sphere, a chocolate cream cookie, and a Captain Minnie crisped rice treat. Signature desserts in restaurants are receiving a special 25th chocolate piece.
When it comes to drinks, the Jubilee by the Sea cocktail is made with sparkly silver dusting and a shimmering blue sugar rim. A special anniversary Coca-Cola bottle, a specialty coffee mug, a 25th-anniversary beer mug, and a Silver Anniversary at Sea popcorn bucket will also be available.

Entertainment
Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line to ever display a fireworks show at sea and during most 4+ night cruises in The Bahamas, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, a new fireworks show will debut! This show will include classic Disney music and the new signature song.

Also, the traditional Captain’s Reception will be reimagined as the Shimmering Seas Soiree, and every guest will be invited to join the ship’s captain, cruise director, and Disney friends for an anniversary toast in the atrium.

We’ve already shown you some of the special 25th anniversary decor placed around the Disney Wish, which includes shimmering touches all over the ship.
You’ll also find special decorations on other Disney Cruise ships and in the Disney Cruise Line terminals.

Key to the World cards will also get a special limited-time look for the celebration!

And Castaway Cay, the private Disney-owned island in The Bahamas, is celebrating 25 years and will receive anniversary decorations and a Mount Rustmore makeover.

We’ve already shown you a sneak preview of the Shimmering Seas merchandise collection, which includes new ears, a new Loungefly backpack, a spirit jersey, and more. Many of these items feature the signature shade of shimmering blue.

The Castaway Club Pearl membership level has also been launched, giving cruisers who have sailed on at least 25 different Disney Cruises special perks, rewards, unlimited digital downloads, early booking windows, and even a complimentary dinner at Palo — among other things.
