6 of MickeyBlog’s FAVORITE Pretzels in Disney World
It’s a day that would have The Office‘s Stanley Hudson celebrating — it’s National Pretzel Day!
There are a lot of classic Disney World snacks, like Dole Whip, popcorn, and Mickey Bars, but pretzels are a park staple that can’t be missed. Of course, not all Disney pretzels are created equally, so let’s go over some of MickeyBlog’s favorites!
Germany Pretzel
First, we’re heading over to EPCOT, where we’re stopping by the Bier und Brezeln cart in the Germany Pavilion. This Jumbo Pretzel cost $11.50 from the snack cart, but you can also grab a similar pretzel from the nearby Sommerfest for $10.79.
As much as we love an authentic German pretzel, ours was really dry on this day, which was a bummer. But you can also grab packets of either regular or spicy mustard to add to the flavor!
Overall, the Jumbo Pretzel can be a good option in EPCOT, but there are other pretzels we’d recommend trying first.
Mickey Pretzel
Of course, we can’t ignore the classic Mickey Pretzel! This Mickey-shaped snack is available at various locations throughout Disney World for $7.75, including a side of cheese sauce.
This is a basic pretzel, but you can’t ignore the novelty of eating a Mickey-shaped snack in Disney World! As long as you aren’t expecting a groundbreaking pretzel, you’ll probably enjoy this.
Cream Cheese Pretzel
Now we’re getting into some flavors. You can find the Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel from a few spots in Disney World, but we ordered ours from The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom. This pretzel is filled with sweet cream cheese for $7.49.
We really love how the cream cheese pretzel is both salty and sweet, and ours was served warm and fresh.
If you’re looking for a snack with both sweet and salty elements, this is a good option!
Jalapeno Pretzel
Now for those of you who want a spicier experience, the Cheddar-Jalapeno Pretzel is it! You can find this pretzel at select areas around Disney World, but we grabbed ours from the snack cart across from Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $7.75.
This pretzel comes with toasted cheese on the outside and a spicy cheese filling. With our pretzel, we wished it had a bit more filling, but we still enjoyed it.
Note that it’s not SUPER spicy, however, so this one can be a good option even for people who aren’t fans of spicy food!
Basically, if you’re looking for something more than just your typical soft pretzel, you might want to consider the Cheddar-Jalapeno Pretzel.
BaseLine Tap House
Also in Hollywood Studios is BaseLine Tap House, where you can get the Bavarian Pretzel for $9.50. It comes with beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard.
This pretzel is HUGE, which makes it easy to share with others, and it’s typically cooked well, although we have experienced the occasional dry pretzel.
The real star is the beer-cheese fondue, which is delicious and may or may not have us wishing to have a side of it at every meal.
Pongu Pongu
And finally, let’s visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom to pay Pongu Pongu a visit for the Na’vi-sized Pretzel served with beer cheese sauce for $11.79.
This pretzel is giant, delicious, and almost always cooked perfectly, and the beer cheese sauce is a welcome addition. We find the beer cheese sauce very similar to (if not the same as) the beer cheese fondue at BaseLine, but the consistency of good quality pretzel puts the Na’vi-sized Pretzel over the edge.
Just keep in mind that this snack is the most expensive of all the pretzels!
