New Popular Pin Captures Te Fiti, Rare “Moana” Characters
With the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company in full swing at Disneyland Resort, the merchandise debuts continue to bring out the best in Walt Disney Animation Studios. A new pin proved super popular this week celebrating a number of beloved characters from one of the studio’s more recent hit films, 2016’s “Moana.”
Though the eponymous lead does not appear on the collectible, both Moana’s trusty sidekicks as well as a few antagonists appear in the design. The remarkably artistic Te Fiti provides the perfect focal point for the pin, especially considering its Earth Day month debut.
Finding Adventure and the New “Moana” Pin
While Tamatoa sings about his greatness in one corner, Maui morphs into his hawk form to soar across the top left corner. Of course, both darling Pua and heart-warming Hei Hei appear pacing back and forth at the bottom of the design.
Making up the a border of the brightly colored pin, three Kakamora also appear ready to take on any invaders to their uniquely constructed vessel. The incredible ocean wave makes sure to give a nod to the natural element that becomes a character in the film as well.
The $17.99 pin features two pins in the back to make sure it is stable on those collector lanyards. This is especially necessary for such a hard-to-find choice.
When we spotted the pin, it was flying off the shelves at the Adventureland Bazaar at Disneyland Park. This one is sure to remain a favorite among the thousands of fans who call Moana their favorite of the Disney heroines.
