New Dole Whip Waffle Bowl is a Fun “Halfway to Halloween” Treat at Walt Disney World!
We love it when a new, character-inspired treat appears at Walt Disney World, and this newest addition to the menu is pineapple-y, Polynesian perfection!
Released as part of the awesome “Halfway to Halloween” celebration at the resort, this hilariously adorable Villain-inspired treat is sure to make you smile. So, climb aboard your boats, sail across the sea, and let’s go check it out together…
Behold, it’s the Kakamora Dole Whip Waffle Bowl!
Inspired by the coconut-clad warrior-thingys from Disney’s Moana, this new treat is definitely worth “wayfinding” over to the Magic Kingdom resort area to get your hands on. It’s sweet, it’s refreshing, and it’s certain to make Moana fans (like myself) squeal with excitement. Want to find out more? Read on!
This tasty new treat consists of fresh Dole Whip, served in a sweet, waffle cone bowl. There’s a white chocolate plate depicting the Kakamora’s… ahem… “terrifying” faces and chocolate-covered pretzel sticks to represent their arms. It’s cute, it’s Instagrammable, and we can’t wait to dig in!
Many limited-time snacks have materialized across Walt Disney World this week as part of the Halloween countdown celebration, inspired by all kinds of villains, monsters, nasties… and coconuts, apparently.
Our MickeyBloggers are currently wayfinding about the resort to try them all, and it was aptly over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that we found this tasty Moana dessert. This gorgeous resort has always been a top location to purchase Dole Whip treats outside of the parks themselves and, with the refurbished rooms at the resort recently designed to reflect all things Moana, we couldn’t think of a more perfect spot for such a fun, fruity, and frozen Kakamora treat!
It was our MickeyBlogger Melissa who tried this for us. She told us that, upon ordering, the Cast Member gave her the option of selecting the “classic” pineapple flavor of Dole Whip for her cup, or a “swirl” with vanilla soft-serve, too. We love a customizable treat at Disney, so this choice was certainly welcomed!
As you can tell from the photos, Melissa opted for the pineapple Dole Whip, which she confirmed was as refreshing and sweet as always. The waffle cone bowl was also crunchy and fresh, making a delicious base for the dessert, and the cuteness of the Kakamora design definitely helped seal the deal too.
All in all, we’d recommend this as a fun “Halfway to Halloween” treat for anyone visiting the Polynesian — especially Moana or Dole Whip fans!
If you’d like to grab one of these for yourselves, they can be ordered from Pineapple Lanai, which is the window-service snack kiosk located just outside the Polynesian Resort’s main lobby building. It cost $5.99.
Enjoy!
