Star Wars: The Bad Batch Returning For Third and Final Season
Largely lost in all the hoopla surrounding Lucasfilms announcement that three new Star Wars films will be hitting theaters, and the release of the first Ahsoka trailer, was the news that Star Wars: The Bad Batch will be getting a third and final season.
Announced by executive producers Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbertt and Athena Portillo at the Bad Batch panel, Clone Force 99 is coming back for another mission.
Sneak Peek at Season 3
Along with the announcement, those in attendance at the panel were given a sneak peek of the Season 3 trailer.
The clip began with Emperor Palpatine visiting Dr. Royce Hemlock, the head of the Empire’s cloning efforts.
“It is imperative that this facility remain secure,” Palpatine says. “Your brilliance is a great asset to this Empire.”
The trailer then cuts to the members of the Bad Batch, who are still reeling from Omega’s capture by the empire.
“Omega’s been waiting for us. I’m not making her wait another day.” Says Hunter.
Interspersed throughout the trailer were other familiar Bad Batch characters including Omega and Crosshair in Imperial custody, Republic commandos, Captain Rex, and even Fennec Shand.
When Will Season 3 Debut
Season 3 of the Bad Batch will find Clone Force 99 reeling from the death of Tech and the capture of Omega.
Fans will have to wait until 2024 to see how the story ends.
