We Tried a Fruit Bat Cookie at Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs!
If you’re looking for cookies and coffee in Disney World, there is one spot you CAN’T skip.
Gideon’s Bakehouse is home to some of the most delicious cookies you’ll ever eat, as well as cake slices and coffee too, and you can find its flagship location in Disney Springs. For a very limited time, we stopped by Gideon’s to try a cookie that benefits a Florida-based charity, and here’s what we thought!
Raspberry Dark Coffee Cake Cookie
If you do decide to drop by Gideon’s, make sure you get there EARLY. There is often a long line outside the bakery, and they also typically do a virtual queue at a certain point in the day.

Our visit was primarily to give the Raspberry Dark Coffee Cake Cookie a try, with sales going directly to the Lubee Bat Conservancy.
You may have also seen this cookie called the Fruit Bat Cookie, and it’s made with layers of homemade raspberry jam and covered in crunch butter crumbs and raspberry sugar.
This cooking was absolutely delicious! The inside is packed with chocolate and if you’ve ever tried the Dark Coffee Cake Cookie, it tastes just like that — but with raspberry.
The chocolate paired perfectly with the raspberry jam and you could definitely tell that it was homemade. It tasted fresh and not at all artificial or overly sweet like you can sometimes get with raspberry flavors.
Overall, we loved this cookie so much that we wish it would be around all year! Sadly, it’s only available until March 31st, so you have a very limited time to stop by Disney Springs to give it a try.
