Star Halle Bailey Makes Appearance at Magic Kingdom to Announce Role as 2023 Dreamers Academy Celebrity Ambassador
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that Halle Bailey will be taking on the role of Ariel in Disney’s upcoming live-action re-imagining of The Little Mermaid. But that’s not the only major role she’s taking on! Bailey made a surprise appearance at Magic Kingdom yesterday to announce that she will be the official Celebrity Ambassador for the Disney Dreamers Academy in 2023!
Many Disney fans took to Twitter to share how emotional it was to see Bailey at the afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom.

The five time-Grammy-nominated singer one of several celebrities, educators and business leaders taking part in Dreamers Academy this week.
For those unfamiliar, the Dreamers Academy is aimed at broadening career awareness an providing access to exclusive opportunities for Black students and teens from underrepresented communities.

With Halle Bailey’s participation as this year’s Celebrity Ambassador, Dreamers Academy participants will be able to get actual career advice from one of Hollywood’s fastest-rising stars!
Talk about a dream come true for the 100 students involved in this year’s Dreamer Academy who have seen Bailey on shows including Grown-ish, Let It Shine and Last Holiday.

This is one of several amazing experiences that this year’s Dreamers will experience.
Other highlights include immersive career workshops, network sessions and mentorship events.
But there is also ample opportunity for Dreamers to enjoy all of the fun and magic that Walt Disney World has to offer.
The Dreamers Academy has been inspiring students since 2008. Participants from across the country are shown a world of possibilities as they start to think about their futures. Graduates of the Disney Dreamers Academy have gone on to become doctors, storytellers, engineers, graphic artists, journalists and so much more!
