Women’s History Month comes to a close in a week, and today, Disney is highlighting some special Cast Members. Let’s take a look at standout chefs from restaurants within Disney Springs!
Deaundra ‘Dee’ Rolle – The Edison
Deaundra ‘Dee’ Rolle is Executive Chef at The Edison. A Bahamas transplant, she loves witnessing Guests enjoy her meals!
Favorite dishes on the menu include the Creamy Spinach Cheese Dip and Bacon Mushroom Swiss Burger. For Rolle, representation and being a role model is what Women’s History Month is all about.
Crystal Dion – Maria Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante
Crystal Dion is currently in training as a Sous Chef at Maria and Enzo’s Ristorante. She’s been working in restaurants for a decade and enjoys making authentic Italian dishes for Guests.
Her favorites are the Ravioli Formaggi, Salmone alla Griglia, and Pollo alla Parmigiana. Her reason for wanting to become a chef centers around making people happy.
Nanako Lugo – Morimoto Asia
Nanako Lugo is a Sous Chef at Morimoto Asia. Her Japanese heritage lends itself to the authenticity of her dishes.
A transplant from Japan, her dad was a chef. Lugo’s favorite part of her job is mentoring people and watching them succeed.
Beyla Garcia – Jaleo
Beyla Garcia is a Sous Chef for Jaleo. Originally from Venezuela, her parents sparked her love for cuisine through their cooking school.
Garcia enjoys passing down her knowledge to aspiring cooks. Women’s History Month is particularly meaningful to her, as a female chef in a predominantly male industry.
Hannah – The Polite Pig
Chef Hannah has been working at the Polite Pig for over two years. She grew up with a passion for cuisine.
Her memories of cooking with her grandma led to the creation of one of the menu’s dishes. Grandma’s Beef Tips & Gravy pays tribute to the women who inspire her on a day-to-day basis.
Mely and Patty – Paddlefish
Mely and Patty are pastry chefs at Paddlefish. The duo is in charge of the dessert menu!
