Fence Added Around Miss Piggy and Kermit in Response to Recent Incident at EPCOT
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is underway, and some Guests are particularly excited to see their favorite characters. Speaking of which, in response to a recent incident at EPCOT, a fence has been added around Miss Piggy and Kermit.
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is a springtime event showcasing delicious food, fantastic entertainment, and beautiful gardens. It occurs from March 1 through July 5, 2023.
Character Topiaries
Amid the colorful landscaping, lie exquisite topiaries. Prior to the festival’s debut, we shared as different characters sprung up around EPCOT.
Guests meandering through World Showcase love snapping pictures of the festive additions. While some let the topiary designs shine, others prefer to take selfies with their favorite characters.
That being said, there are limitations to the methods you can use to take these photos as a Guest of Walt Disney World Resort. Over the years, we’ve seen some interesting behavior at Disney Parks.
From Guests literally stepping into decorative water fountains to climbing statues, there has been no shortage of perplexing behavior. Recently, one such incident was caught on camera.
Recent Incident
TikTok user @magicalmaddieb shared a video of a Guest who worked her way through the garden to Miss Piggy. She leaned against the character, resting her leg on the pink suitcase, while someone snapped her picture.
She then made her way toward Kermit to grab another photo. Our MickeyBlogger is at EPCOT today and stopped by the display.
Fence Added
He noticed that Disney added a fence around the characters, most likely in response to the incident. It’s quite small, and although it may cause someone to have second thoughts, we have seen people climb fences at Disney Parks before.
This should be a clear indication that trespassing into the garden is not allowed. Let’s hope people get the hint!
