Seven Dwarfs To Remain as Individual Lightning Lane Option Despite TRON Opening

For those hoping front of the line access to Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was about to get cheaper with TRON Lightcycle/Run opening at the beginning of next month, we’re sorry to disappoint you.  It looks like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will remain an Individual Lightning Lane attraction for the foreseeable future.

If you’ve been following along with our TRON news you’ll know that a soft opening period for the Tomorrowland attraction will begin on March 20th with the attraction officially opening on April 4, 2023.  Many were hoping that having a new headlining attraction at the Magic Kingdom would mean that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train would be demoted to regular Genie+ status.  However, it looks like Disney plans, at least initially,  to keep both rides in the Individual Lightning Lane category.

Genie+, Individual Lightning Lane- What Does it All Mean? 

For those unfamiliar, the Lightning Lane/Genie+ System replaced the original free FastPass system which allows front of the line access to some of Disney World’s biggest rides and attractions.  Under the new system, guests pay $15 – $29 per person per day for Genie+ access to rides and attractions at each theme park.  Current Genie+ attractions are as follows:

Individual Lightning Lane: 

Some of Disney’s biggest attractions ARE NOT a part of the Genie+ system.  Rather Disney World gives you the option to purchase front-of-the-line access to these rides on an a la carte basis.  Known as Individual Lightning Lane, guests pay anywhere from $10 – $20+ per person per attraction for one time front of the line access.  This only applies to a handful of Disney World attractions and these are as follows:
