Walt Disney World Wait Times for First Week of March 2023
A friend of mine is visiting Walt Disney World right now. He sent a list of all the attractions his family had achieved in one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
I’m not joking, folks. I did a double-take, as it’s the most I’ve heard of anyone achieving all year.

So, we should expect Walt Disney World wait times to be waaaaay down for the past week. Let’s check!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

As a reminder, the previous two wait times articles included a perfect storm of high-traffic circumstances like President’s Day and a runDisney event.
We’re now in the calm between storms, as most of the country celebrates Spring Break either next week or the following one.
For this reason, we should have two straight weeks of smaller crowds followed by two steep increases in park traffic.
Is that what happened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Well, Avatar Flight of Passage averaged a 70-minute wait, which is down 65 minutes.

Folks, when the wait time drops more than an hour or nearly 50 percent, you know that the traffic patterns changed.
Similarly, Na’vi River Journey fell a sizable 33 percent. It averaged a 60-minute wait as opposed to 90 minutes the previous week.

- TriceraTop Spin – 9 minutes, down 12
Overall, guests waited for an average of 33 minutes per attraction. That’s 27 minutes less than last week.

After that 45 percent drop in wait times, Animal Kingdom has returned to its typical range, which is 25-35 minutes per attraction.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
I’m really curious about this one because of what happened with my friend. And we know that weirdness abounded due to the top attraction.
Slinky Dog Dash (!) averaged a wait of 81 minutes, down 44 minutes from last time. And yes, I said Slinky Dog Dash.

This past week represents one of those rare instances when Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance didn’t require the longest wait.
Instead, the theme park alpha averaged 80 minutes for the past week, a drop of more than half.
The average wait for the previous week was 163 minutes. Yes, the drop of 83 minutes outpaced the actual wait time for the ride.
So, this reminds me of that morning when everybody woke up and decided they were over fidget spinners.
