Disney Donates $100,000 to Coalition for the Homeless
Central Florida’s Coalition for the Homeless recently celebrated the grand opening of its renovated youth center. Disney contributed $100,000 to help bring about the transformation.

Bob Iger recently tweeted, “Disney partners with Coalition for the Homeless to transform Central Florida youth center! Disney donated $100,000 to help expand and transform the space with new furniture, technology and murals.”
He adds, “This renovation is part of the 20-year legacy between the organization and Disney.” President and CEO of Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Allison Krall, shares, “With Disney’s support over the years, we’ve been able to broaden resident programs, offer opportunities for families to create new happy memories, and now, provide a special place for our students to decompress.”
She adds, “Seeing their faces today when they entered the center for the first time filled my heart, and I’m so grateful to Disney for helping us do this for them.” The renovation expanded the space to almost double its original size.
Coalition for the Homeless Renovation
New infrastructure, furniture, paint, murals, and upgraded technology have transformed the center. Disney has been supporting the organization for over 20 years.
In total, The Walt Disney Company has donated almost $2.5 million to help Central Florida residents in need.
Vice President of Experience Engineering & Enablement at Walt Disney World and Coalition for the Homeless Board Member, Erin Youngs, shares, “I’m proud to be part of a company that places great emphasis on making positive impacts for our neighbors and the organizations that support them.”
She adds, “I’m humbled to serve on the Board of Directors at the Coalition and join them in their mission to transform lives, and this new center is a testament to that.” Disney Parks Blog shares that giving back to the community is a “top priority” for The Walt Disney Company.
