REVIEW: We Found a NEW Fave at Northern Bloom at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival!
The sun is shining, the World Showcase is buzzing… what day more perfect could there be to discover a new favorite festival treat?
Before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s recap a little bit. Today is the first day of the beautiful 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and MickeyBlog have been reporting live from the parks with all your need-to-know festival details, including merchandise, activities, displays, events, and more!
Right now, however, our reporters are enjoying a food-filled stroll around the World Showcase, where a huge host of outdoor kitchens and marketplace booths are cooking up a storm of fresh, flavorsome foods. Our adventure has taken us to the Canada pavilion, where we decided to stop by the cute cabin that houses Northern Bloom.
This delightful kitchen is a favorite among guests for good reason – as they serve up dishes including scallops, tenderloin, and the fun-filled Maple Popcorn Shake.
You can read our reviews of this booth from previous festivals here, but it was the kitchen’s new menu item that really turned our heads on today’s visit!
Freshly available on the menu this year is a magnificent dish entitled the Chocolate Maple Whiskey Cake.
Based on that tantalizing title, we were obviously going to place an order for this treat, and boy did it hit the mark!
Easily one of the BEST items of the day is this maple whisky chocolate cake from Canada’s “Northern Bloom” booth! We are genuinely obsessed!🍫✨ pic.twitter.com/wfQ8rlH8pb

Ugh, doesn’t it look gorgeous? Especially with that picturesque Canada pavilion skyline in the background, you just know this is going to be a treat to savor!
The cake here is basically exactly what it says on the tin — a chocolate whiskey cake, oozing with maple, chocolate drizzle, and coated in chocolate flakes. It’s a rich dish for sure, but one we’re definitely recommending you try out on your next visit to the festival!
It was our brilliant MickeyBlogger Jared who tried this out for us today (lucky him, right?) and he went as far as saying it was the best dish he’s had at the festival all day. That’s high praise indeed, and one that will have us all rushing to Northern Bloom ourselves over the coming months!
If you’d like to see if Jared is right, you can try your own portion of the Chocolate Maple Whiskey cake from Northern Bloom for $4.50.
Tell them MickeyBlog sent you, and enjoy!
