February 22nd was a slower day in Disney history, but it still featured the return of a nighttime spectacular, the beginning of a new Disney Broadway musical, and the launch of Disney.com.So, let’s get going!
Below Decks Museum Opens (1964)
On this day in 1964, the Below Decks Museum opened in Disneyland.
The new gallery could be found on the sailing ship Columbia in Frontierland.
Disney.com Launches (1996)
On this day in 1996, Disney Online launched Disney.com
The new website was designed to promote Disney’s media and parks.
Season 3 of Even Stevens Premiers (2002)
On this day in 2002, Season 3 of Even Stevens premiered on the Disney Channel.
Although still popular, the sitcom would end after the season.
Lady Tremaine Meet and Greet Closes (2016)
On this day in 2016, the Lady Tremaine meet and greet closed in the Magic Kingdom.
Cinderella’s evil stepmother previously had held court just behind Cinderella Castle.
Frozen The Broadway Musical Begins Previews (2018)
On this day in 2018, Frozen The Broadway Musical began previews at the St. James Theatre in New York.
Based on the popular 2013 film, the show would officially open on March 22.
World of Color Returns (2019)
On this day in 2019, World of Color returned to Disney’s California Adventure.
The nighttime spectacular had previously closed in April 2018 following damage to the show’s underwater platform.
