Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Debuts Standby Line at Disneyland
It’s been less than a month since a highly anticipated, new attraction opened in Toontown. But today, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway debuted a standby line!
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Previously, the attraction was only available via Virtual Queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. This can be frustrating for Guests because getting in the Virtual Queue can be a bit of a hassle, with no guarantees you’ll even be able to experience the ride.
That leaves you with the option of purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane, which is also not ideal. Having to spend extra money on one attraction, for each member of your party is not a popular option.
Most sought-after, new Disney Parks attractions debut with a Virtual Queue nowadays. That being said, the method typically lasts for many months, which makes this a bit of an odd case for Disneyland.
Standby Line
But, we’re not complaining! Today is the first official day Guests can line up in the traditional way, to experience the new attraction.
This morning, our MickeyBlogger discovered that the standby line only had a 25-minute wait! As always, rope dropping the attraction early in the morning is a beneficial way to experience Disneyland rides with minimal wait times.
As you can see in the photo, the Virtual Queue is grayed out and says, “Not currently enrolling new Guests.” Individual Lightning Lane is still a viable option, with a $20 fee, per person.
That being said, Individual Lightning Lanes can run out when it comes to return times. Make sure to check Disneyland’s App to stay up to date on the status of the attraction.
Speaking of which, Disneyland recommends to keep checking back. The app states, “We may open virtual queue for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at some point each day.”
It goes on to say “Guests can check the app to see when the standby line for this attraction is available.” I don’t know about you but when it comes to new attractions at Disneyland Park, I think it’s worth the wait!
If you haven’t experienced Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland, today is a good opportunity. Hopefully, you can snag a place in the standby line if you have a reservation, and get ready for a magical experience!
