Separated family travel has been a long-time complaint for US airline customers. The added costs of purchasing seats to sit together or near each other is a constant source of travel frustration.
If side-by-side seats are not available during booking, customers are able to switch to another flight with adjacent seats in the same cabin with no additional charge or fare difference.
