Tiana Signs Crop Up Around Splash Mountain
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that big changes are afoot at Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain (as we knew it) had officially closed to the public and will undergo a lengthy refurbishment before reopening as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Once reopened Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will take visitors on a journey that is inspired by the story and characters of beloved film Princess and the Frog.
Not long after the original Splash Mountain closed (January 23, 2023) construction walls came up around the site.
As a cute little tip-of-the-hat of what’s to come. Several Tiana’s Foods Signs have been added to the construction walls!.
Slowly over the weeks and months ahead, we’ll see all the original elements from Splash Mountain disappear to make way for Tiana and Co.
The Tiana signs are a nice touch and make us super excited for the transition.
Disneyland’s Splash Mountain is also getting a refurb but information about the timeline for that transformation is expected to come at a later date.
As of going to print, neither of the parks have announced a reopening date for the attraction.

There are rumors that the re theme of Splash Mountain is happening at Walt Disney World in Florida only and the Disneyland version of Splash Mountain in California is staying the way it is because the concept art that we saw a few years earlier matched the Walt Disney World Splash Mountain.
Hi, thanks for the post and reading the site. Those rumors aren’t the least bit true, though. Disney already announced a Tiana restaurant coming to New Orleans Square later this year. Then, the Parks Blog reconfirmed yesterday that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open at Disneyland Park in 2024. The reason why the Disneyland version has remained open is more about the timing of Disney100 and the fact that it’ll require less time to update since it’s a shorter ride.
