If You Miss The Main Street Electrical Parade- You Have to See This
My all time favorite Disney parade is the Main Street Electrical Parade. Yes, the parade was dated, but there was something magical about seeing the shimmering procession come down Main Street.
It was even more special if you thought about the innumerable number of people who saw the parade over the last 50 years.
The parade featured iconic music, and unique characters and I continue to miss it a lot.
If you too were a fan of the Main Street Electrical parade, you are going to want to see the new drum art that has arrived at the Art of Disney at Disney Springs!
Main Street Electrical Parade Drum Rim
First up, we have Main Street Electrical Parade by Mark Seppala.
Created on drum rims, this piece is truly amazing. All of the classic characters and floats are repented. Casey Jr., Dopey, Elliot, and of course those crazy turtles and snails are all depicted!
Just looking at this piece, makes Baroque Hoedown pop into my head! Here is a closer look.
In addition to the treasure trove of characters, the middle of this drum features the Magic Kingdom and Main Street Electrical Parade logos in beautiful details.
If you want to remember Walt Disney World’s greatest parade, this Main Street Electrical Parade drum piece is available for $800. It may not be in my price range- but if you can swing it, you should!
Concert Drum Table
If you don’t have the wall space to hang this Main Street Electrical Parade art, would you consider buying it on a vintage drum table?
That’s right, as opposed to just getting the drum head for your wall, you can actually buy this vintage 1920’s Leedy Concert Drum. It has been repurposed as a table, decorated with all your favorite Electrical Parade characters!
This original piece of art was again created by Mark R. Seppala for Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary of the Electric Light Parade!
Once again the attention to detail and artistry is amazing, here is a closer look.
Where To Get It
Both the drum head, and full concert drum are available now at the Art of Disney. If nothing else, be sure to stop by and take a look at this beautiful art the next time you are in Disney Springs!
