Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle Stuns With Disney100 Embellishments!
MickeyBlog has been bringing you the latest from Southern California’s theme parks today, before an epic celebration begins. As we approached Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle, we were stunned at how beautiful it looks with its Disney100 embellishments!
Sleeping Beauty Castle
Sleeping Beauty Castle debuted with Disneyland on July 17, 1955. It takes its inspiration from a Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria.
This beautiful landmark often gets teased for its size. Guests are sometimes surprised to see that it’s rather humble in proportion, compared to Cinderella Castle at Disney World.
That being said, do we have to compare? Both castles have wonderful features to offer!
Each is inspired by different Disney movies and princesses. This adds a unique “flavor” for Guests to appreciate on the east and west coasts.
Did you know that a magical offering can be found inside of Sleeping Beauty castle? Once you traverse the bridge and walk through the archways, turn left and you’ll find a mysterious doorway.
Once you walk through, you’ll be immersed in the story of Princess Aurora. Travel up and down the palace steps as you work your way through the Castle while gazing at spellbinding dioramas.
It’s an amazingly unique experience, and one you won’t soon forget! Sleeping Beauty Castle receives special touches for Disneyland’s various celebrations; let’s take a look at its Disney100 embellishments!
