Disney & Co Earns an Impressive 17 Golden Globe Nominations
It was a good day for Disney with the announcement of the 2023 Golden Globe nominations. Disney and Co. earned a total of 17 nominations.
Searchlight Pictures earned 12 of these nominations for critically acclaimed film The Banshees of Inisherin. According to a recent piece in The Hollywood Reporter, Banshees led all films with eight nominations and was nominated in almost every major category including best picture, musical or comedy, best director, best actor and best screenplay.

James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water which opens in cinemas at the end of this week is also in the running for best picture, drama and best director.

Marvel’s Black Panther- Wakanda Forever also earned nominations for best supporting actress (Angela Bassett) and best original song “Lit Me Up.”
Pixar’s film Turning Red also earned a nomination for best animated feature!
