Seven Dwarfs Mine Train- Fun Facts and Trivia
Since its opening in 2014, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has remained a must-do for many Magic Kingdom visitors.
While most guests are thrilled by the attraction’s drops, and awed by the mine scene, I wanted to take a deeper dive into the attraction and point out some of the fun facts and trivia that go along with the attraction! So let’s get going!
A Magic Opening
Let’s start at the beginning. When the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train initially opened, there was a unique group present for the festivities.
At the Magic Kingdom that day were Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (makes sense), and Orlando Magic basketball players Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris.
Music In Your Soup
When making their way through the attraction’s queue, guests eventually enter a mine shaft. Here, interactive gems surrounded them.
While they interact with the various features of the queue, the song “Music in Your Soup” can be heard. This song was intended for the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs film but was cut.
Remembering Snow White’s Scary Adventures
On the attraction itself, guests can find remnants of the closed Fantasyland attraction Snow White’s Scary Adventures.
On the top of the first lift hill, the two ominous vultures were a part of the now defunct Fantasyland Dark Ride.
Similarly, the Animatronics of Bashful, Doc, Happy, Grumpy, and Sleepy originally appeared in Snow White’s Scary Adventures. They are now found at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ending.
Very Old Animation
Inside the Seven Dwarfs Mine, guests can see a silhouette animation of the Dwarfs. This animation was taken directly from the Snow White film.
A Hidden Oswald?
Finally, as guests leave the mine and climb the attraction’s second hill, if you look closely on the ceiling you can find a “hidden Oswald”.
