Fox Business reports that a 30-year-old man recently caused a disturbance at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. Walt Disney World security and a deputy said that Chase Holderby of Merritt Island Florida was stumbling around the American Adventure Pavilion, being very loud.

Witnesses reported that they saw him chug two beers in a 30-second time frame. An arrest report, written by a deputy said that the married, father of two, was shaking hands with people in line, and high-fiving them as he staggered along.
Afterward, he and the members of his party were involved in a verbal dispute near the Japan Pavilion. When he made his way to the Morocco Pavilion, security asked him to leave.
The report states, “We followed Holderby to the International Gateway exit while he took his shirt off and continued asking what he had done wrong.” Holderby continued to be loud, screaming as he headed to the Disney Skyliner Gondolas.
Guests enjoy cruising around Walt Disney World and taking in incredible views onboard the aerial gondolas. Whimsical themes feature magical Disney touches and details; unfortunately what happened next was anything but magical.

A deputy stated, “Once in the line queue, he continued to act belligerent and cause the crowd of people in line to become alarmed. While attempting to get him onto the physical gondola car, he wouldn’t initially get in and was dangerously close to falling into the area beneath where the attraction operates.”
Wow, that must’ve been a disturbing sight for visitors. Disney Cast Members responded by stopping the Skyliner for his safety.

This ended up “inconveniencing and delaying all other riders.” After repeated warnings, Holderby was arrested, and charged with trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
It’s unsettling to hear that a man nearly fell off the Skyliner platform at Walt Disney World Resort. We’re glad no one was hurt, after the close call.
