Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Finally Reopens!
One of my favorite princess meals is finally returning to Disney World! Character dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at EPCOT is back and MickeyBlog is there.
Historically one of Disney World’s most popular character dining experiences, Akershus has been closed since the COVID-19 shutdown.
You could feel the excitement in the air as cast members from Walt Disney World get ready to start seating guests.
The menu features an eclectic array of Nordic eats!
Because this is one of Disney’s most popular dining experiences, dining reservations are essential and can be made 60 days before you are due to arrive at Disney.
Reservations can be made via My Disney Experience. Guests will have the ability to check-in online though this isn’t available today.
We’re anxiously in line waiting to get in.
The theming inside Akershus is quite regal with beautiful wooden beams, tapestry-lined walls and banners flying from the rafters.
We were among the first to be seating today as you can see from the empty dining room!
The meal kicks off with a Field Greens Salad. It is served with a Lingonberry Vinaigrette.
Also brought to the table are Lefse served with a side of Cardamom-Cinnamon Butter.
Cocktails are also available for guests 21 and older at an extra cost. Options are as follows:
- Northern Lights Cocktail – Helix 7 Vodka, Bois Blue Curacao Blueberry, Desert Pear and Sprite. Comes with a souvenir Glow Cube – $19.50
- Blue Viking – This blend of Helix7 Vodka, Don Q Cristal Rum, El Jimador Blanco Tequila, Ashkur Gin, Bois Blue Curacao Liqueur. $16.50

Our MickeyBloggers opted for the Bifrost!
It was served frozen and almost have a pina colada vibe to it!
As our MickeyBloggers sipped their cocktail, the princesses started to arriving in the dining room to visit guests.
We had a chance to mingle with Princess Jasmine!
Next up was Belle looking stunning in her yellow dress!
Snow White also dropped by to say Hello!
Here she is giving our MickeyBloggers a courtesy!
Princess Aurora was also onsite and happy to pose for this selfie!
Here’s a full-length shot so you can see Auroras beautiful gown!
Next up is Ariel.
Here she is giving us a photogenic pose or two!
The entrees are brought to the table family-style.
This includes Traditional KjØttkake: Norwegian Meatballs
It’s served with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.
Also on the plate was Grilled Salmon with herb butter.
