New Sign Marks OFFICIAL Re-Opening Date of Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Resort!
It’s a day for excitement and celebration over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, as today marks the official reopening of Kona Cafe!
The highly-anticipated reopening of the breezy and atmospheric restaurant is sure to be welcomed by guests of the Poly and visitors alike, as this dining location is surely one to be enjoyed!
Debuting a new look, full of cool blue waves, beautiful blossoms, and even a fun array of Hidden Mickeys, Kona Café is certainly back with a bang this November!
If you follow along with MickeyBlog, you’ll no doubt have seen that our reporters have actually been lucky enough to dine among the waves at Kona already this week. After hearing a rumor that a “soft opening” was on the cards, we hopped on a Monorail and headed to the resort on Sunday, and we’re glad we did!

However, something that wasn’t present at the restaurant this weekend is this spectacular new sign.
Erected today for the official scheduled opening of the restaurant, this sign is a stunning new addition to the Polynesian’s Grand Ceremonial House!
The sign is a dreamy aqua blue in color, which beautifully compliments the wave-like accents which flow through the building’s interior.
Especially since the Polynesian has undergone various refurbishments to bring the magic of Disney’s Moana to the hotel, the beauty and majesty of the ocean is well and truly celebrated around this gorgeous resort!
As you can see from our photos, there are plenty of guests enjoying breakfast at the official reopening of Kona Café this morning.
We’d definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant on your next trip through Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, whether you’re staying as a guest or just passing through on the Monorail!
