Seven New Hedgehog Babies Arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We’ve got some animal baby news for your Thursday afternoon! Disney’s Dr. Mark Penning took to Instagram this afternoon to announce that SEVEN new babies have arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World.

Though these babies are no doubt so adorable that you’ll want to see them in person you will have to wait a while!
These cuties are currently backstage at Rafiki’s Planet Watch so that they can bond with Mom and Dad.
Here’s an interesting fun fact for you! According to Dr. Mark, the sex of tenrec hedgehogs is unknown until they are roughly two months old. In order to identify whether they are boys or girls, the Animal Care Team will put a small dab of animal-safe paint on the back of the hedgehogs. This includes the bouncing baby boy above.
