BREAKING: State Of Emergency Declared Ahead of Tropical Depression for Several Counties in Florida
Governor DeSantis has declared a State of Emergency for 24 counties in Florida in preparation for the tropical depression that is making its way toward the United States.
Orange County, where some of Disney World resides in is not listed, but Osceola County is and part of Disney World does reside in that county. Orange County will likely fall under the State of Emergency as well at some point.
“Today, I signed an Executive Order issuing a state of emergency due to the threat of Tropical Depression 9. This storm has the potential to strengthen into a major hurricane and we encourage all Floridians to make their preparations. We are coordinating with all state and local government partners to track potential impacts of this storm.” stated Governor DeSantis.

Tropical Depression 9 formed today and is forecasted to hit somewhere around Florida and the Gulf shores next week. The storm is still several days away. The path is still very uncertain and could change course over the next couple of days. To get up-to-date info on Disney’s hurricane policy, click here.
