Black Flame Candle Cake Flickers into Gasparilla Island Grill
There are just over six weeks until Halloween! Have you been enjoying spooky season?
It has been Halloween at Disney for over a month now and it’s so fun to see what new, fun treats they’re bringing to the table.
Today, Mickey Bloggers stopped by Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to try the new black flame candle cake. What were their initial thoughts? It’s yummy!
Gasparilla Island Grill offers a quick service menu. It has café style seating outside and comfy booths inside.

Hocus Pocus
This fun cake is inspired by the famous candle from the movie ‘Hocus Pocus’ that brought the Sanderson sisters back to life. It’s sure to put a spell on you!

Legend says that the black flame candle will raise the spirits from the dead if lit on Halloween night. I don’t think this cake will be raising any witches from the beyond, but it is devilishly delicious.
Black Flame Candle Cake
It is a vanilla sponge cake topped with caramel buttercream and white chocolate ganache. Take a look at the inside, it is layered to look like candy corn. How cute and festive!
This cake is made to look like the black flame candle from the film. It even has a little black flame on top that’s made with chocolate. Yum!
I love how the white chocolate ganache is drizzled down the sides of the cake to look like melting wax on a burning candle.
The Sanderson sisters are pillars of the spooky season. I love seeing all the new Hocus Pocus treats around Disney.
As we get closer to Halloween, keep an eye out. If you hear chanting that sounds like ‘Itchita Copita Melaka Mystica’ grab your black flame candle cake and run. Otherwise, you might find yourself with black fur and a tail.
