New ‘Coco’ Merch Pops With Color at Plaza del Sol
With fall bursting throughout Magic Kingdom, it came as no surprise to find a bit of new “Coco” merchandise yesterday at Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar in Adventureland. With an ultra-trendy new headband and bright magenta long-sleeved top, both options radiate with shades of the season’s Dia de los Muertos festivities.
For the long-sleeve, a vibrant pink shirt captures the rugged spirit of this fall’s throwback ’90s fashion. The design uses a washed out look that balances a deep magenta with a lighter baby pink.
The shirt’s shade allows the detailed artwork to shine. Using complimentary shades of blues and aquas, the center of the design pops with a bright yellow followed by more analagous shades of orange.
With song-based symbols embedded in the main graphic’s design, musical notes and a whimsical treble clef span the staff at the bottom of both sleeves. The same rainbow-esque color effect from the front shines on the sleeve detailing too.
Spotted at the forefront of the popular retail location near Pirates of the Caribbean, the long-sleeved tunic retails for $64.99.
A Headband Ready for Coco’s Musical Celebrations
For those looking for a more subtle way to celebrate MIguel and his family’s musical traditions, MickeyBlogger Jared also spotted a new denim headband featuring the persistent young artist.
The embroidery on the new accessory uses an abundance of color, focusing on the symbolic Aztec marigolds as well as Coco in his disguise/costume during the Dia de lost Muertos celebration in the Land of the Dead.
The decorative piece costs $19.99. So far, we only found it at Plaza del Sol, but the Mexico pavillion in Epcot tends to feature quite a bit of “Coco” merchandise as well. Oftentimes, “Coco” Loungefly bags and specialty pins pop up at locations throughout Disney Springs too.
