Don’t Forget Disney’s Q3 Earnings Call Happens TODAY!

So what can Disney enthusiasts and investors expect from today’s call? CNBC has a few ideas.
Wall Street analysts expect that Disney will add about 10 million Disney+ subscribers pushing its global subscribers to 147 million. According to CNBC, what analysts are looking to see is if Disney+ subscribers exceeded expectations. This would mean that the streaming market isn’t yet nearing saturation.
Current Disney CEO Bob Chapek highlighted earlier this year that the goal is for Disney+ to have 230 million to 260 million subscribers by the end of 2024. As CNBC pointed out, Disney will need to reach roughly 8.5 million subscribers a quarter to reach this number. However, with Netflix’s current woes, insiders are starting to worry that enthusiasm for streaming is starting to stagnate. Insiders will be looking to Disney to predicts a tool to better predict the future of streaming.
Even though inflation could potentially be an issue, as Yahoo Finance tells us, that the theme parks side of the business could be better than expected giving NBC Universal’s parent company Comcast (CMCSA) which has already reported that revenue for Universal saw park business jump by 65%.
