Walt Disney World Reveals End Date for 50th Anniversary Celebrations
As they say, all good things must come to an end. And, Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” is no exception as an official end date has been announced.
If you are looking to still plan your visit to Walt Disney World to celebrate 50th years of magic, you are going to have to arrive prior to March 31, 2023, as that has been revealed as the official end date for the celebration.
But, don’t shed a tear just yet as there is still plenty of time (240 days from today to be exact!) to enjoy all the extra-magical happenings currently underway at Walt Disney World!

EARidescent Excitement
Mickey, Minnie, and their pals along with all four of the Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond have received new looks and decorations featuring the color of the celebration, EARidescent!
Beacons of Magic
Each of the landmarks in each of the four parks has been transformed into “Beacons of Magic” to invite Guests from near and far to be part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary including:
- Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom
- Spaceship Earth in EPCOT
- Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
New Attractions and Experiences
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary, Walt Disney World has introduced new rides and attractions that are likely to be around even when the party ends. These include:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT
- Harmonious nighttime spectacular in EPCOT
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT
- Disney Enchantment fireworks spectacular in the Magic Kingdom
- Disney Kite Tails show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

There’s also the all-new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser that opened in March to much fan-fare. This 2-night adventure invites Guests to live their own Star Wars saga on the Halcyon and the planet Batuu.
50th Anniversary Merch
What’s a good party without some swag and merchandise to commemorate it?! That’s why Disney has launched multiple 50th anniversary-exclusive collections! Items in these collections include everything from t-shirts and spirit jerseys to luxurious ears, jewelry and so much more.
Fab 50 Character Collection
Golden statues featuring 50 iconic Disney characters have been installed across the four Walt Disney World Theme Parks. As an added bonus, these statues comes to life with the all-new MagicBand+!

The only thing that could be better than all of this magic is a discount on top of it all! And, if you plan to travel in the next few months, there are already a few available including one where Disney+ subscribers can save up to 25% off select Resort Hotels rooms for visits through September 30, 2022. But, hurry rooms are already very limited for this offer!
