Zootopia City Skyline Starting to Take Shape at Shanghai Disney
I’ll make no secret of it. I am jealous of the fact that a Zootopia-themed land is coming to Shanghai Disneyland. This area inspired by the beloved 2016 film was originally supposed to open next year. However, due to ongoing COVID-19 shutdowns, it looks as if the project will be delayed a bit.
That being said we are already seeing the Zootopia city take shape at Shanghai Disney and all we can say is WOW!

The construction photos are pretty incredible!
You can see some of the tops of the impressive buildings being hoisted into place.
You can also see the castle and TRON in the background! The new Zootopia land will be located behind Fantasyland near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Once opened, guests will be invited to experience the metropolis of Zootopia just like in the film. At the center will be a headlining attraction that blends Disney storytelling with state-of-the-art technology to bring the film and its beloved characters like Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde to life. Guests will also be able to enjoy new shopping and dining experiences in this neighborhood!
