Celebrate Canada Day in EPCOT
July 1 is Canada Day – and the perfect place to celebrate Canada Day is in EPCOT!
In 1982 Canada became a fully independent country by the British Repatriation Act.
Canadians around the world will celebrate today like we celebrate the Fourth of July – with picnics, gatherings and fireworks.
If you’re at Walt Disney World, head over to the Canadian Pavilion in EPCOT to celebrate Canada Day!
In honor of Canada Day, we’re sharing some of our favorite parts of the Canadian Pavilion.
Le Cellier Steakhouse
This restaurant is located in the Canadian chateau that is the beautiful tower you see in the Canadian Pavilion.
You feel as if you’re in the cellar of the chateau at Le Cellier. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, with small tables nestled near one another.
The steak is amazing at Le Cellier, as you’d expect. A regular crowd pleaser is their cheddar cheese soup.
Entertainment in Canada
Various bands sporting buffalo plaid outfits grace the Mill Stage.
Right now there’s a band called Alberta Bound performing.
Everyone will want to clap along to traditional songs and toe-tapping fiddling tunes.
Canada Far and Wide
I’d love to celebrate Canada Day in EPCOT by watching Canada Far and Wide, but it’s currently closed.
This is a Circle-Vision 360 presentation and it is awesome!
I always enjoy this presentation – it’s a great place to cool off and appreciate the majesty of Canada.
Let’s hope it reopens soon!
Kidcot Fun Stop
If your kids are enjoying picking up mementos around the World Showcase, don’t forget to stop in Canada!
The Kidcot Fun Stop in the Canadian Pavilion is near the exit of Canada Far and Wide.
Shopping in Canada
There are two shops in Canada, Northwest Mercantile and the Trading Post.
In the shops you can purchase your favorite Canadian merchandise – think anything adorned with the Canadian flag.
Also anything bear, moose or hockey!
There’s also usually an outdoor kiosk open to purchase Canadian gear.
Popcorn and beer
You can’t drink around the world at EPCOT without a stop in Canada!
Grab a Moosehead draft or an Ottawa Apple cocktail at the popcorn stop in Canada.
While you’re at it, give the maple popcorn a try!
Take a tour on Canada Day
On this Canada Day, take a tour of Canada courtesy of our friends at Resort TV1.
Happy Canada Day, folks!
