“It’s a Small World” Mickey Main Attraction Collection Spotted
This morning while wandering Downtown Disney, we spotted such a surprise: the release of the fourth installment of the “Mickey Mouse, the Main Attraction” collectible series. This beloved collection just keeps getting better with this playful new set, honoring one of the most beloved classic Disney parks attractions of all times, “it’s a small world.”
The new release features three thematic options: delightful Mickey Mouse ears, a Mickey Mouse plush, and of course, a limited edition pin. All three celebrate the iconic colors of the whimsical attraction.
New Ears Capture “small” Details
The Mickey Ears released for this theme are sure to capture the hearts of fans of “it’s a small world.” The front plays with a range of colors used in the iconic artwork as well as the attraction’s beloved clock face and typography.
The back of the ears use much brighter pinks than the more muted purples featured on the front. Though first spotted at Disneyland, the ears also boldy display the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary logo on the back in a shimmering gold, a shade used throughout “the World’s Most Magical Celebration.”
Not only marking the resort’s big anniversary, the $34.99 soft-banded ears also pay tribute to the incredible concept art of Mary Blair, whose brightly colored painting and drawing made the attraction stand out almost 60 years ago when it first debuted at Disneyland.
Blair’s Colors Make “small world” Plush Pop
The Mickey Mouse plush released for the “it’s a small world” collection plays on more subtle shades of the same turqouises, purples and pinks used in the ears. Like the Mickey Ears, Mickey’s plush lobes also play with the typography used for the clock tower numbers.
The delightful plush carries a pocket watch, which suits the outfit design perfectly. The watch face captures the smiling face of the tower that exists at the attraction both at Disneyland and in the Magic Kingdom.
With the Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction Logo embroidered on his foot, purchase of the $34.99 plush as well as the rest of the collection is limited to two SKUs per customer.
Mickey Pin Offers “small” Collectible Option
The $29.99 collectible pin captures the same throwback look as the plush with Mickey Mouse. Mickey dons a plaid-like design for his trousers along with a spirited vest and shoes.
The entire collection debuted a few months ago, celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. MickeyBlogger Greg spotted the release this morning at World of Disney in Downtown Disney and Disneyland Resort. We can’t wait to catch it in Disney Springs too.
