Celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with New Trifle Dessert in Epcot’s UK Pavilion!
Her Majesty the Queen is commemorating her Platinum Jubilee this weekend, after a phenomenal seventy years of service!
While the UK is celebrating with street parties, lots of flag bunting, and a rather nice four-day weekend, there’s a bit of a to-do over in Walt Disney World today, too…
Of course, we’re over at the UK pavilion in the Epcot World Showcase, where a cracking new dessert has just arrived on the menu at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop.
Pop the kettle on, and let’s go a have a look!
Behold, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Trifle!
A layered dessert with the brightest flavors and most vibrant color, a trifle like this would make the perfect, show-stopping finale to any teatime festivities!
It looks like Disney chefs have chosen a rather iconic and spectacular British treat to celebrate the occasion, yet with a fresh, summery twist that will taste spectacular against the sunny backdrop of the 2022 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
This particular trifle has a citrus base, as it is comprised of layers of lemon curd swiss roll, orange jelly, and mandarin slices.
Not forgetting, of course, the key ingredient to any trifle – lots of sweet, gloopy, yellow custard!
The dessert is topped with a sprinkling of crushed almond biscotti, and is served in a clear cup so you can truly appreciate those dazzling layers.
Costing $4.59, the trifle is available at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop quick serve dining location. So, if you’re planning on stopping by the UK pavilion for a fish supper, make sure you follow it up with this celebratory, platinum jubilee treat.
But, you’ll need to be quick, as this limited-edition trifle will only be on sale for this weekend! That’s right – June 4th and 5th only!
While you’re passing, why not soak up even more royal culture in the UK pavilion? The Twinings Tea shop are serving up free samples of their cold infusions, which you can sip on whilst admiring all the adorable, corgi-themed merchandise across the area’s stores.
Then, if you head deeper into the pavilion, you must stay and bop along to The Hooligans, the newest musical act to arrive at the English gardens!
How will you be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this weekend?
