Adorable EPCOT Corgi Merchandise Celebrates Royalty
Since her childhood, Queen Elizabeth II’s love of Pembroke Welsh Corgis has been well-documented. In fact, the small-statured pop culture canine icons even appeared with the Queen along with Daniel Craig’s James Bond to open the 2012 Olympics in London. Now, the Queen’s treasured pets also feature on a new line of accessories and sleepwear available at the United Kingdom pavillion at EPCOT.
Both patterns utlize the darling, smiling face of the breed scattered throughout the fabrics. A social media sensation, both the cheerful disposition as well as the breed’s darling pointed ears make corgis one of the world’s most beloved small dogs.
A jewel-covered crown, necklaces and earrings add that regal charm to the pattern. A number of other trinkets, including artwork, china pots, and glass containers, also add a nod to the royalty often associated with the herding breed.
The hats as well as the more luxurious items in the collection come set against a range of colors from turquoise to an aubergine. Some of the pieces in the line also use a deep red fabric to accent the borders of varying designs.
The majority of the sleepwear choices utilize an ultra soft, silken fabric, perfect for lounging on days a bit less active than those typically experienced wandering World Showcase.
A Range of Darling Corgi Merchandise
Among items featured in the line so far, we really loved the bold scarves as well as the pajama sets, bucket hat, and even the lounging bag, perfect for a day of reading at the park or beach. Both the bucket hat and the bag use a more durable, cotton fabric with more embellished stitching than the loungwear pieces.
The scarves in the line add lovely bold fabrics to the border of the design as well as larger versions of the print’s embellishments.
For those looking for a bit of a smaller piece, these lovely compact snap-top bags make a darling accent to celebrate the Queen’s corgis during her Platinum Jubilee celebration this year.
As always, a stop into the quaint shops at the United Kingdom pavillion did not disappoint today. Along with the delightful corgi merchandise, the range of stores also usually highlights unique Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and Winnie the Pooh merchandise. Twinnings Tea also hosts the first storefront, offering a range of options not always found at markets in the United States.
