Connections Cafe Will Be New Starbucks Location With Aesthetic that Matches Creations Shop

As we head into the weekend, more details are emerging regarding the new Connections Café coming to the World Celebration neighborhood at Walt Disney World.

We can now officially confirm that Connections will be the home of Starbucks at EPCOT. Like Main Street Confectionary at Magic Kingdom and Creature Comforts of Animal Kingdom this will be the place to go in EPCOT for your Frappuccinos and caramel macchiatos. This location will take the place of Traveler’s Café in World Showcase which will close this Spring.

Disney has also advised that this location will be designed to fit the theming of World Celebration. With this in mind, Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley took to Instagram to chat about what the look and feel of Connections Café will be like.

Above you can see a concept rendering for Connections. This new eatery will be right across the breezeway from the Creations Shop.

Connections Café will play upon the idea of different points of “connection.” Imagineers were mindful about the way the gardens and the greenery within World Celebration complement the interior and how friends and family will gather together when eating and drinking. Special attention was also paid to the way that show kitchens will provide a culinary experience as you watch culinary teams make baked goods.

Connections will also tie in with the adjacent Creations Shop. Light and color will play a big role in the interior aesthetic. The cafe will feature the same floor to ceiling glazing and hand-painted murals.
