Crowds are High for St. Patrick’s Day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
It’s St. Patrick’s Day! The sun is shining over Walt Disney World, and Spring Breakers are out having fun across the resort.
MickeyBloggers have noticed that crowd levels have been particularly high over the past few days, so we headed over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning to check out the wait times for our favorite attractions, and share our findings with you all. Grab your sunblock, and let’s go explore the bustling activity in this star-studded park!
As you can see, it is a stunningly beautiful day today in Orlando.
The skies are clear, the flowers are blooming, and even the Hollywood Tower Hotel looks inviting!
Until you get to that wait sign, that is!
Tower of Terror hit a 160 minute wait fairly quickly this morning, with many guests choosing to start their day with a drop.
The far-reaching queue line spreads quite a distance back from the attraction, but spirits are high nonetheless!
And, of course, Hollywood Tower bellhops are out to greet guests, in the lively and amicable way only bellhops can.
Let’s keep walking, and see what else is going on in the park!
Over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, the line is equally as busy!
With a Cast Member stationed at the end of the line, holding a sign that announces a 90 minute wait, it looks like this coaster is also going to be a long line for the day ahead.
To put that into perspective, you could stand and listen to the Aerosmith “Greatest Hits” album twice in that line, and still have ten minutes or so to spare before you board your limo!
The line for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was at 75 minutes early this morning, but at least guests have the stunning architecture of the Chinese Theater to admire as they queue up outside!
Umberellas have been placed over the line for shade, but that sun sure is still beating down over guests!
Over in Batuu, we were surprised to see there was no wait for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance!
We quickly realized that this was because the ride was down due to technical issues. We hope to see it back up and running soon!
As always, plenty of Cast Members were positioned outside the attraction to help guests and answer any queries about the delay.
Also in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the popular Milennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run attraction. This ride was up and running, but had a 75 minute wait for guests!
Of course, guests may opt to utilize the Singer Eider line to cut the wait down a bit, should they prefer.
Coming out of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and heading into Toy Story Land, you can see that this area of the park is especially packed!
Since most of the queue areas for the attractions in this part of the park are situated outdoors, we hope all these guests brought plenty of water to keep them hydrated as they wait!
These are some pretty lengthy lines indeed!
Slinky Dog Dash was at a 130 minute wait this morning for stand-by.
As you can see, there’s not much shade in this line either!
At least Slinky himself is smiling brightly and enjoying his travels!
Alien Swirling Saucers was at a 60 minute wait.
That’s a long line for such a quick attraction!
Finally, the line for Toy Story Mania, which snaked right ou tof the building, was at 80 minutes this morning. Phew!
If you’re planning a visit to Walt Disney World during Spring Break, we hope these photos have helped you plan your trip! Stay hydrated, keep applying that sunblock, but make sure you have fun!
