NOW OPEN: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Takes Off at Disney World
Today is a HUGE day for Walt Disney World. It is the official launch of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and to celebrate, let’s take another look at the incredible ship called the Halcyon!
If you’ve been following along with us, you’ll know that guests booking a stay on the Galactic Starcruiser embark are a 2-night journey that includes room, board as well as a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests board a Launch Pod and are then blasted through hyperspace.
You’ll dock at the Halcyon starcruiser where you’ll step right into the bustling main Atrium of the ship. Guests are greeted by SK-62O who is the ship’s resident astromech droid.
Next, its time to drop off your belongings in your cabin. Each room features awesome touches like sleeping berths built into the walls as well as viewports with changing space views.
Then its time for the Starcruiser’s immersive storytelling to start. Head to the ships muster which is led by Captain Riyola Keevan and Cruise Director Lenka Mok.
As you explore the ship, be sure to stop by the Sublight Lounge for a drink and a game of holo-sabac..
Another great place to visit is The Chandrilia Collection boutique to pick up some exclusive clothing, accessories and collectibles.
As we’ve mentioned before, you’ll want to make sure the Play Disney Parks app is on your phone to make the most of the Datapad function on the app while aboard the Starcruiser. Your itinerary will update throughout your stay keeping you abreast of all of the awesome activities you can take part in including:
A special training session on The Bridge.
As well as Lightsaber training.
A highlight of the first night on the ship is your dinner on the Crown of Corellia Dining room where you’ll dine while being treated to a spectacular musical performance by galactic superstar Gaya!
