Celebrate Tea Time with New EPCOT “Alice” Ears
Whether celebrating an unbirthday or delighting in all things curiosity, the new “Alice in Wonderland” Minnie ears spotted today by our MickeyBlogger at EPCOT really do capture Alice’s whimsical ways. The royal blue bow with fancy lace trim celebrates a touch of fancy on the headband spotted today just outside the United Kingdom pavillion at EPCOT’s World Showcase.
The deep turquoise, glistening fabric used for the ears themselves also adds a touch of class. The hue also compliments the lighter blues of Alice’s classic dress and the film’s symbolic element that are almost pencil-drawn on the ears.
Prominently, the Mad Hatter’s stack of teacups shake back and forth, tippping tea out as they wobble too and fro. Somehow, Alice takes the perfect sip from her cup complete with pinky out. Pinks and yellows add a suprising pop of color as well as subtle white symbols from the 1951 animated film.
Flowers, birds, lampposts, city buildings, mushrooms, a double decker bus all appear in the subtle designs. Hidden just underneath the bow, even the cantekerous Cheshire Cat peeks out in a typical surprise. The white lace design plays nicely with the diamonds, leaves, mushrooms, and other playing card symbols on the ears.
In true always-daydreaming Alice form, these ears are in a world of their own. The $29.99 ears can be found at the pin cart located on the walkway to International Gateway just pass the tea gardens of the United Kingdom pavillion. Pop by on the way to the France Pavillion or on the way out to catch a ride on the Skyliner.
The stand features a wide array of speciality pins, beverages, and of course, a tree of Minnie and Mickey ears that span a variety of themes.
