Hollywood Studios Added to Deluxe Resort Extra Evening Hours
Since the start of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” on October 1st, guests of deluxe and deluxe villa resorts at Walt Disney World Resort received a special perk: extended hours on Monday and Wednesday nights at a select theme park. So far, only Magic Kingdom and EPCOT opened for the exclusive benefit. Now, as of April 13th, Hollywood Studios will offer those staying at a deluxe resort two extra hours of exclusive access.
Though the Walt Disney World website does not list which attractions will be included in the special two hours, the site does confirm that the park will remain open from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13th. Ordinarily, Magic Kingdom would stay open late on Wednesday evenings.

Based on the park’s popularity, this addition presents a huge advantage for guests staying at the top tier resorts on Disney property. With wait times remaining high even through the ordinary January slow down, many hope that the list includes the park’s most popular rides, including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, and Tower of Terror.
A very small group of other resorts also receive extended evening hours, a special offering during the 18-month 50th anniversary celebration. According to the Walt Disney World website, all of the deluxe and deluxe villa resorts can enjoy extended hours as well as guests at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, and Shades of Green on Walt Disney World.
