Flying Fish is Back – and It’s the Best Reopening Yet For Disney!
We are so excited to share the news that beloved eatery Flying Fish has reopened at Disney’s Boardwalk at Walt Disney World Resort. MickeyBlog is so excited to be there for their first dinner!
Flying Fish is looking as lovely as always and the staff this evening has been wonderful!
We did use the online check-in function via My Disney Experience.
Check in is super easy and you get a notification like the one above when your table is ready!

As we get ready to dine it’s time for the moist towelettes!
We’re taking a moment to peruse the wine list!
There’s also a selection of cocktails, beer and soft drinks available.
We decided to start our meal off with a couple of cocktails.
This is a look at the Blood Orange Margarita.
And Greg opted for the Old Fashioned!
Next up is the bread course!
You are looking at the Semolina Potato and Leek Bread!
The butter is hand-churned with fish-scale imprints.
The staff told Elyssa that they are the only eatery on Disney property that churn their own butter
Elyssa said it was one of the best bread courses she’s ever had!
We absolutely love the bar area and have to remember to drop by more often for drinks!
The entire team in the kitchen were incredible! Here they are eagerly awaiting our feedback!
For appetizers Elyssa tried the Oak Grilled Romaine.
This plant based option came with cherry tomatoes and a White Balsamic Dressing!
Greg ordered the Lobster Bisque.
It is served with Sambuca and Chive Oil and is a work of art!

For the main course, Elyssa tried the Verlasso Salmon. It came with Bok Choy, Celery Root and Golden Saffron Nage.
The delectable entrée below is the Potato-Wrapped Red Snapper.
It comes with a Leek Fondue and Cassis-Red Wine Reduction
Things are heating up in the kitchen as diner service progresses!
Here’s one more look at the glass flying fish on the ceiling while we anxiously wait for dessert to be served!
For dessert one of the treats ordered was the Creamy Goat Cheesecake.
It features Honey Glaze, Cassis Gel and Pistachio Cake!
Next up is the Coco Breach.
It was made with Vanilla Custard, Chocolate Bavarois and Feuillentine Crunch.
Greg and Elyssa concluded that this might be one of the very best meals that they’ve had at Disney.
Greg added that he’s not necessarily a seafood fan but would gladly eat any of these dishes again! That I would take as two very big thumbs up!
On the way out, the sun had set and they were also able to grab some photos of the stunning Flying Fish lights on Disney’s Boardwalk!
