Orlando Braces For Cold Temperatures Going Into Next Week
If you’ll be traveling to Walt Disney World over the next week, you’ll definitely want to pay attention to the weather! Reports are coming in that Central Florida could be in for some colder-than-usual temperatures which means you might not want to jump into that pool or plan that water park visit.
Here’s a look at the official tweet sent out by Channel 9 this afternoon:
County leaders around Central Florida are monitoring the cold weather being brought by a major storm system this weekend. https://t.co/xNhasgjWF2

As you can see, WFTV is currently monitoring cooler temperatures that might occur as a result of a storm system moving into the area. The map above shows temperatures as lows as the 30s and 40s for Central Florida.
Apparently some county leaders in Central Florida including Brevard and Flagler counties will be opening up cold weather shelters in the event of a massive drop in temperatures.
Due to fronts moving through the area, Central Florida can expect rain and storms on Sunday which will eventually result in some of the coolest temperatures in the area all season.
Highs are expected to be in the 50s and 60s heading into Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures could get as cool as 40s and 50s on Monday morning and on Tuesday morning it could even get as low as the 30s.
At the moment, we aren’t quite sure what impact the cold weather will have at the theme parks. So far Orange County told WFTV that they do not have plans to open cold weather shelters but this might change depending on further forecasts.
This is a story that we will continue to follow throughout the weekend and we will keep you updated.
