Quartet of Disney Animal Sidekicks Grace Four New Sweatshirts
The comic relief of Disney sidekicks often make the movie. Now, they also bring a touch of humor to a set of four new sweatshirts at World of Disney, the flagship merchandise location at Disney Springs.
Pegasus of Disney’s “Hercules” gracefully shares that he is “Just Wingin’ It.” The lightweight, tie-dye fabric is a feature of almost the entire collection.
The turquoise and pink pastel hues of Pegasus’ shirt really do evoke a peaceful feel. It’s very reminiscent of when he gallops through the clouds in the 1997 film.
The back of the classic design sweatshirt simply features the Walt Disney World Resort logo, which recently got the vintage treatment in honor of the resort’s 50th anniversary.
Feisty Sidekicks Pack Laughs
Bruni, the fire spirit in “Frozen 2,” surprises on his new sweatshirt. On the front, he shows his “sweet” self, but on the back, his more “fiesty” sound definitely bursts (literally into flames).
Set on a muted gray shirt, both the subtle blues of the front and the bold reds and purples of the back really pop on this cozy piece of apparel.
Toulouse, the often perturbed brother in “The Aristocats,” appears to have spent a bit too much time in the Florida August humidity. We love the ombre effect on this sweatshirt.
The piece transitions from a cool white shade to a muted yellow and then a perfectly spring pastel peach. The calming colors definitely offset Toulouse’s “mood.”
The sunrise colors transition to the back of the shirt as well, which again also celebrates the Walt Disney World Resort in a subtle way.
In a nod to the Beatles, Percy rounds out this grouping of winter apparel with a catchy reminder that “a pug is all you need.” The posh “Pocahontas” pup almost blends in with the shirt’s pale purple and blue tye-dye fabric.
Like the bulk of the collection, Percy’s sweatshirt also simply features the Walt Disney World Resort logo careful placed near the neck hem of the back of the piece.
Each sidekick sweatshirt retails for $54.99 at World of Disney. They definitely make a great choice for some of those cooler January nights wandering around Disney Springs.
