BVG is Undergoing a Refurbishment at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Parts of the Store Blocked Off
The Bayview Gifts store over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is undergoing a bit of a refurbishment this month, with parts of the area blocked off for guests.
The popular BVG store is a fan favorite over at the Contemporary, where guests can pick up all sorts of unique items to commemorate their Walt Disney World trip.
If you are planning on stopping by this week, however, make sure you’re prepared for some slight adjustments to the instore shopping experience…
As you can see from the photos taken today, one of the main entrances to the store has been blocked off to guests, and covered by a large, white wall.
We aren’t able to confirm the details of the work being done on the store, but signage is assuring us that the “area is being refurbished for your enjoyment.”
Thankfully, half of the store is still open as usual, so guests are still able to browse the racks as normal.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort went through a large refurbishment last year, so temporary adjustments to service and guest experience are not unusual to this resort. However, it was only in September last year that we reported that BVG received a magical facelift in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, so hopefully these decorations are here to stay for the time being!
Whatever it is which is being done to BVG, signage is telling us that the department involved with the works is FAM, Facility Asset Management.
Other signage is posted to redirect guests to the second store entrance, which is still in use as normal.
